Walter Henrique da Silva (born 22 July 1989), simply Walter, is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Cruzeiro, as a striker.

Born in Recife, Pernambuco, Walter started his career with Esporte Clube São José, finishing his youth career with Sport Club Internacional, joining its junior team in 2006. He made his professional debuts two years later.
Walter played in 11 games in his first season in the Série A, but failed to score any goals. In May 2009, he suffered a serious injury which sidelined him for several months.
In August 2010, Walter joined Portuguese club F.C. Porto, signing a five-year contract. The top division powerhouse acquired the player's registration rights and 75% of his economic rights from Uruguayan side C.A. Rentistas for €6 million,[1] later selling 25% to Pearl Design Holding Ltd. for €2.125 million.[2] His first official game occurred on 19 August in a UEFA Europa League play-off round against K.R.C. Genk, playing eight minutes in a 3–0 away win.
On 16 October 2010, Walter made his first start for Porto, scoring a hat-trick against A.D. Os Limianos for the season's Portuguese Cup, in a 4–1 home success. The following month later, again as a starter, he netted his first league goal, at home against Portimonense SC (2–0); he spent the vast majority of his first year as a backup to Colombian Radamel Falcao, but managed to finish with 10 goals all competitions comprised (25 appearances).
On 15 October 2011, Walter scored four goals in a domestic cup match against C.A. Pêro Pinheiro, in a 8–0 away win.[3]
Walter played with Brazil under-20s in the 2009 South American Youth Championship. He scored five goals in the tournament held in Venezuela, being crowned top scorer as the national team won its 10th title in the category.
